Ever since 8BIT started we decided it was not a company without the 4 of us (me, John, Chris, Tom ). We also knew it was not the only thing the 4 of us had going on. Each of us were fueled by creating. As a company we encouraged the creation of products, ideas and inspiration outside of 8BIT. We knew those experiences would come back to the company in a positive interaction.
I have been hesitant to write this post. Being an introvert it’s in my nature to process everything internally and speak only when I know how a feel. I still don’ t know how I feel about a company I worked so hard to get off the ground with 3 of most amazing/talented guys in the industry closing it’s doors ( sidenote: there are actually 2 other dudes that have been along for the ride Michael and Jason and many interns/contract peeps that made 8BIT possible ). 8BIT was never about the money or products… it was about building a company with friends and having fun while doing it.
I would not be who I am today if it was not for these guys. I learned so much about business, WordPress, community and launching. I hate to see it over but I know all of us will still be creating a better internet.
I’m still trying to decide on what to do next… suggestions?
