Maskull Lasserre Art born from objects
Canadian based artist Maskull Lasserre takes ordinary objects and sculpts them into parts of the human anatomy. twigs into spines. stack of books into a human ribcage and my favorite a corner of a showcase chest into a human skull. Amazing detail goes into his work. not only that, most pieces are carved from a single object.

Yasly (you are so last year) is a group in Florida taking pride in hand crafted well thought design. Using old world technique and modern minimalism their designs speak for themselves.

New York Designer Spotlight Jon Contino: hand drawn master
After a weekend in NYC I thought a post on a New York Native would be appropriate. I came across Jon Contino’s portfolio today, and was blown away.. it was hard for me to NOT post every single one of his images.. so make sure to go check out the rest of his work. Hand drawn design has been a big trend in the past year.. but Jon surely knows the balance between design and doodles.
